Turn 13

Stoo Shroom 1 zooms up to Ragnor and attempts to slam him.  Ragnor’s dodge (col 9): 90 8 = orange.  Shroom (col 11): 30 2 = white.  It misses, but its tire-like caps reverse and stop it from overshooting him.

Stoo Shroom 2 tries to slam into Arvak.  (col 11): 50 0 = blue result.  Would do 8-4AC = 4 + slam.  Arvak’s kinetic negation mutation (12) 9 1 = yellow.  Negates damage (up to 9hp) AND slam effect.  He is hit and absorbs the impact with no effect whatsoever.

Arvak strikes back with his hammer (col 16): 3 2 = white.  Misses.

Phallon mental blasts shroom 1 (col 10): 60 3 = blue result.  5 hit points damage, for mild effect.

Next round initiatives:

Turn 12

Two stoo shrooms roll around the corner at high speed, their “tires” very quiet on the smooth floor.  They are closing to melee distance in an eyeblink.

Initiative

  • Shrooms 0 = automatic win
  • Ragnor 8 + 2 = 10
  • Arvak 6 + 1 = 7, tie-breaker 7
  • Phallon 5 + 2 = 7, tie-breaker 4

The planar portal shimmers, it has another 30 seconds.

Turn 11

Phallon quickly moves into the armory entry hallway.

The laser defense system continues to fire.  It has two shots per round.  1-3 Arvak, 4-6 Ragnor  First shot 5 at Ragnor (col 18): 20 4 = white.  Second shot 1 at Arvak (col 18): 70 2 = yellow + 1RF = orange.  10 x 4 = 40 points of burn damage.  Arvak at 75 hit points.  Hit did more than 25% damage, so Arvak rolls CN save on burns table.  Col 8: 6 5 = blue result.  10 hp of damage is permanently disintegrated until specifically regenerated.

Arvak and Ragnor hustle into the entryway, and out of the laser’s range.

The planar portal has 40 seconds left until gone.  What do you do now?

Turn 10

Arvak and Phallon step out of the planar portal.  They are standing at the foot of the entry ramp, just in front of the armory door.  The doorway is open, and you can see down a wide hallway, which after 5 meters, turns to the right.  Unfortuantely, the moment you step out, a mechanism to the left of the door moves: a durasteel turret sporting two gun barrels swivels slightly at you and opens fire…

Arvak (doesn’t get precognition when his planar portal is activated) rolls for suprise (8): 3 0 = white     Phallon rolls for surprise (10): 40 7 = white      both PC’s lose their action as they are caught flat footed.

The laser defense system fires at 1-4 arvak (stepped in first and larger), 5-6 phallon: 4 so arvak  It gets two shots on the 18 column:  50 5 = green +1RF up to a yellow hit.  base damage 14-4AC=10 x3 so 30 points of burn damage.  Second shot 20 2 = white result.  Arvak’s hp = 115

Ragnor now steps through the planar portal next to the other PC’s  (it was possible he could’ve entered the portal from the opposite side that Arvak did, and would have stepped through on the side facing away from the door: on side w/ PC’s 1-3, on opposite side of portal 4-6: 3)

Turn 9

Fort Akton, Presidents’ Meeting Room: Klos 4th, 350 AC, 0930.

Norman says in his creepy little voice, “Ragnor’s not responding.  I can’t sense his location.”

Arvak’s nausea seems to be wearing off, although he still wouldn’t try eating anything right now.  (no further penalty).

President Ramil writes and signs an order authorizing X-squad (who should be guarding the armory door) to assist you with sweep and rescue efforts.  He gives the paper to Arvak.

The two of you can make your way to the yard outside the bunker.  (See map page of fort akton exterior)

Turn 8

The stoo shroom, now surrounded, picks it next target. 

  • 1-2: Phallon
  • 3-4: Arvak
  • 5-6: Wilhem (Bompa didn’t hit it, and is further away due to his very long arms, so not a target yet)

4, so attacks Arvak (col 11): 20 2 = white.

Arvak attacks with his hammer (col 16 -2 due to nausea = 14): 4 8 = blue hit.  14 – 4AC = 10 hit points of damage.  Shroom saves vs. slam (11): 00 5 = white.  The shroom is slammed backwards into the wall, and will be stunned 1 round.  Looks really unhealthy now.

Phallon uses mental blast (10): 40 4 = white.

Bompa and Wilhem both attack with their sabers.  Bompa (12): 80 4 = yellow +1RF to orange24 points of damage.  Wilhem (12): 40 2 = white, 80 4 = yellow18 points of damage.  The Shroom is hacked into multiple pieces and goes still.

In a calm yet urgent voice, Ramil says “Nelson, call in a cleaning crew.  Wilhem, help them dispose of that.  Arvak, Phallon, what do you know.  What are the facts?”
