The elderly badder rests one hand on the duralloy spear and makes gestures over it with the other (as if he is scratching in the dirt?).  “Thees is used for army for nobles and king.  Having it shows you important.  It luxury.  If you want best spear, you buy.  If not, you want other weapon?”  He makes a sweeping gesture along the counter with its many steel weapons.

Another badder wearing a canvas cloak enters the armory (tinkle of clinking chains), looks at your group, and leaves.

You head on over to the armory.  This mid-sized hut is made of stone with the standard (yet impressive) mushroom cap roof.  The sign hanging above the main door is a plate of metal upon which is another unknown etched rune.   Hanging from the sign are a miniature metal spear, short trident, and metal mask (like the hoplites wear).

The doorway has a “curtain” of light metal link chains.  You pass through and find yourselves facing a shruden counter that wraps around 3/4’s of the room.  An elderly badder sits behind the counter.  He wears a thick leather apron, and is chewing methodically upon some unknown substance.  The dim flickering light glitters off of many metal weapons which sit upon the counter.  Many more are arranged on the back wall behind the counter.  Three other badders, decked out in metal armor and hefting wicked looking melee weapons, stand guard.

The elderly badder stands up as you enter and looks at you with wide brown eyes.  “Eka tudo na baada!!  Aaaa.  Meee spaaka en traade tong fer yooo.  Whaat me help you fore???

Hmmm, not getting my music.  Until I figure it out:  bigthatsmell

You discuss where you want to go first, and the smell from Phallon’s boot is lingering in the air like the smell of an un-neutered tom cat.  The brutorz leaps over a barricade made of straw and crushes a dummy under its hooves.  Then it spins about and lashes out with its hind legs, sending another straw dummy flying through the air.  The armored man suddenly runs forward and leaps, the brutorz dips for a second allowing him to land on his back.  Then they start galloping around the field and the knight draws his long sword.  The hoops are hopping up and down, shaking their weapons, and cheering.

A cart, led by two badders  approaches you.  The beast of burden is a gray furry lumpy creature whose eyes are covered by blinders.  It stops short (so the cart stops suddenly) and is sniffing the air with its nose: a pink shiny fleshy stucture with lots of moving finger-like projections arranged around it like sunrays.  It starts making very high pitched squeaks (nearly inaudible, but what you hear is annoying).  One badder starts smacking it and yelling.  The other badder points his walking stick at your group and is yelling and snarling at you…

Adventure Two, Eighty Seventh Turn

You march under one of the huge arches supporting the bridge and roof above, towards the market.  Various simply dressed badders shuffle back and forth, many of them carrying baskets or bags.  A huge building abuts the central keep.  You’re not sure how the badders were able to bring its mushroom cap roof down here.  Smoke and vapors can be seen coming off the top of it, and loud heavy clanging noises come from within.  What you assume is a beefy badder stands right in front of this buildings reinforced door.  The guard wears a suit of what appears to be modified plate armor.  It is much more complete than what the soldiers wear, and includes numerous spikes, studs, and other embellishments.  The guard carries two duralloy short spears (kind of like the traditional zulu spear).

Several badders (peasants), a handful of hoops (studded leather armor and various tech II weapons), and a plate armor wearing true man are standing around the field, watching.  A powerful looking black brutorz is galloping back and forth, going through some exercises.  He is jumping over various shruden posts and gates (which were not here before) and kicking or stomping upon some straw dummies.

A smaller shop is just to your left.  Its open door has a small sign above it that has a rune, and several metal objects (fork, corkscrew, screwdriver) hanging from it like a mobile.

A gaggle of small badder children come scurrying past you.  They are no taller than 2′, and some are running on all fours.  Some of them are wearing a piece of dirty fabric, but others have nothing but their furry hides.  You can hear them make little snarling noises and two of them seem to be fighting and rolling along the ground.  One of them is carrying a small stick, and this one rushes up and smacks Zeebo’s foot a couple of times, then darts off.

Adventure Two, Eighty Sixth Turn

The hoplites relax from their parade-like stance once Frall is out of sight.  Unfortunately this is a little unsettling, as they focus on you, looking quietly at you with predator-like brown-yellow eyes from behind their duralloy face-plates.

Beyond the open gate is the lower city of Sarka.  It is dimly lit.  It smells of earth, musk, and badder excrement.  What now?  (The lower map is either posted tiny or gets squished together.  Just click on it for the best view)
